hi, i’m joey

a queer photographer whose work explores emotional interiority through the male form. working primarily in low light and rich, saturated color, creating images that sit at the intersection of visibility and withdrawal.

my practice examines darkness as a generative space—one where bodies shift, dissolve, and reassemble into new emotional and relational possibilities. by focusing on moments of stillness and introspection, the work challenges dominant representations of masculinity and offers a more nuanced, tender vision of gay male embodiment.

my photographs tell stories that are both dark and luminous, holding space for desire, grief, softness, and resilience. this work invites viewers to sit with ambiguity and encounter the body as a site of quiet transformation.
